Membership

Who Can Join

The SLTCC serves persons working in teaching and teaching related institutions, and their family. Therefore, all teachers be it in government or private schools; other workers in these institutions, cooks, security, secretary, janitors, workers in the Ministry of Education, St. Lucia Teachers' Union and the spouses, children, siblings and grandparents of these workers are all entitled to membership.

Every member of the St. Lucia Teachers' Credit Co-operative Ltd. shall be:

To apply for membership, simply obtain an application from from the Office of the Society, or download a form.

Return completed from to the office along with two valid forms of photo ID and a $5.00 entrance fee. You are also required to purchase a minimum of twenty shares ($100.00).

Proposed/Referred Accounts

  • A written referral from an existing member must be provided for this class of individuals where document evidencing relationship cannot be provided

Foreign Nationals

 

  • Two pieces of primary identification
  • Evidence of source of funds & wealth;  example job letter, bank statement (for the past year)
  • Confirmation of address document. Acceptable confirmation of address document shall only be
  • Original utility bill in the member’s name
  • Reference letter from another regulated financial institution
  • Bank statement
  • Reference letter from a regulated financial institution

School Clubs

 

  • Letter from the principal of the school authorizing the opening of the account, the signatories and signing authority
  • Specimen signatures of authorized signatories
  • 2 forms of identification for all signatories (1 must be a primary form)
  • Confirmation of address for all signatories 

Registered Businesses

  • Certificate of registration of the business name;
  • List of partners if any;
  • Specimen signatures of authorized signatories;
  • Professional certification confirming formal training in the field.

Identification Documents

Primary

  • Passport
  • National Identification

Confirmation of address Documents

  • Original utility bill in the member’s name
  • Reference letter from another regulated financial institution
  • Letter from a landlord, accompanied by a utility bill in the landlord’s name
  • Letter from a spouse accompanied by a utility bill in the spouse’s name
  • Bank statement
  • In cases of young adults who reside with their parents, or vice versa a letter can be provided by the parent (s) or child confirming that the member resides with him/her in the prescribed format (Appendix 6). This letter must be accompanied by a utility bill in the name of the person confirming the address along with the parent’s identification document of the person in whose name the bill is registered

 

 

NB: Documents must not be more than 2 months old.
